Welcome to the Home of the Cardinals! We have a proud athletic tradition at St. Louis School, with diverse athletic opportunities that promote good sportsmanship and teamwork. Our sports offerings are as follows:
St. Louis School students in grades 6 – 8 may also participate in football, cross country, and wrestling at Batesville Middle School. Every season, we provide specific information about each sport as it comes available.
At the side of this page, you’ll find sports schedules, the SLS athletic handbook, and other useful forms and information for student-athletes, their families, and all those involved in the sports program at St. Louis School.
St. Louis Catholic School’s athletic program is dedicated to the teachings of Jesus Christ as revealed in His life and proclaimed by the Catholic Church. We base our program upon methods that provide student-athletes with opportunities to reach their highest potential with respect to good sportsmanship, Christian attitude, hard work, self-discipline, respect, and self-confidence.
We have partnered with the educational leadership program Play Like a Champion Today™ (PLC), developed at the University of Notre Dame. This is a research-based, child-centered program designed to elevate the current culture of youth sports and enhance the lives of each St. Louis student athlete. We require our coaches to attend a workshop covering topics such as athlete motivation, character development, and team building. We also ask parents to attend a one-time workshop to increase awareness of current trends in youth sports and to help foster a healthy partnership with coaches and other parents. We encourage you to visit the PLC website for more information.
