Second Graders thanking the PTO

The primary goal of PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is to support St. Louis School in its mission statement.  We accomplish this by promoting cooperation between the parents, the school faculty and staff, and the parish.  PTO raises money to financially provide fine arts and cultural arts opportunities for the students, pays for small capital improvements and wish list items for teachers and staff, and manages numerous committees of volunteers to support the academic, physical, psychological, social and spiritual well being of each student.

Getting involved has major benefits! Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, the children are more likely to:

  • earn better grades.
  • score higher on tests.
  • pass their classes.
  • attend school regularly.
  • have better social skills.
  • show improved behavior.
  • be more positive in their attitude toward school.
  • complete homework assignments.
  • graduate and continue their education.
